Joe Perry, born September 10, 1950 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, is an American guitarist and songwriter, famous for being one of the founding members of the iconic rock band Aerosmith. From a young age, Perry showed a great interest in music, drawing inspiration from blues and rock and roll.
In 1970, along with Steven Tyler, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford, he formed Aerosmith, a band that quickly became a mainstay of American rock.
