George Lynch, born September 28, 1954 in Spokane, Washington, is an American guitarist recognized for his influential work in the heavy metal band Dokken during the 1980s. Lynch began his musical career at a young age and moved to Los Angeles seeking opportunities in the vibrant rock scene.
With Dokken, Lynch recorded a series of successful albums, including “Tooth and Nail” and “Under Lock and Key,” which helped define the glam metal sound of the era.
After leaving Dokken, Lynch formed his own band, Lynch Mob, with which he explored more varied sounds and continued to demonstrate his musical prowess. Throughout his career, Lynch has collaborated with numerous artists and released several solo projects, always maintaining a high level of creativity and technique. His legacy as a guitarist continues to be a major influence on rock and metal musicians around the world.
